3 Quick & Easy Matcha Recipes We Love

Matcha has been proven to improve your health in so many different ways, which is why we love it here at Gabfoods!  It is high in antioxidants, helps protect the liver, boosts brain function and so much more, since sharing is caring, we would love to share some of our favorite quick and easy recipes with you!

 

Iced Matcha Latte

Perfect for an afternoon pick-up!!

Ingredients:

  1. 2 tsp. of organic matcha powder
  2. 2 tsp. of hot water
  3. 1 cup of warm water
  4. Ice cubes
  5. Almond milk or your milk of choice

Method:

  1. In a small bowl, put a couple of teaspoons of the matcha powder and add the hot water, whisk until the matcha has dissolved (it’s a great arm workout!), creating a paste.
  2. Pour the remaining water into the bowl and mix it, then to the fridge for around 15 minutes!
  3. Fill a glass full of ice and add your almond milk (or yuor milk of choice) until it’s ¾ of the way full.
  4. Pour your chilled matcha onto your cup, stir a bit and get ready to enjoy the deliciousness.

 

Matcha Pancakes

Start off the day with an energizing breakfast, but don’t worry, if you’re feeling too lazy to cook, order our MATCHA POWERBALLS, a Gabfoods Catering favorite!

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup of flour
  2. 1 tsp. of organic matcha powder
  3. 2 tsp. baking powder
  4. 1 pinch of salt
  5. 1 cup of your milk of choice (we recommend almond)
  6. 1 egg
  7. 2 tsp. of vanilla extract
  8. 2 tsp. of olive oil

Method:

  1. Grab a medium bowl and mix the matcha, baking powder, flour, and salt together.
  2. Make a circle in the middle of the mixture and add the almond milk, egg, vanilla extract and olive oil; whisk until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Grease a saucepan and heat over medium to low heat, pour your batter and cook until small bubbles form, that is the signal to flip! Once you have all your pancakes ready, add your favorite fruits and enjoy!

 

Banana Matcha Smoothie

The best pick me up, for both mornings and evenings.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 banana (freeze it first for a creamy texture)
  2. 1 tsp. of organic matcha powder
  3. ¾ of a cup of non-dairy milk (we love almond milk)
  4. 2 or 3 Ice cubes
  5. 2 tsp. of vanilla extract (or your sweetener of choice)

Method:

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.  Pour in your favorite glass and enjoy!
